It takes courage to follow Christ and we find that courage in the word of God. Peter has offered us the greatest example there is to help us understand the obedience that God expect of us—Jesus Christ our savior.
Christ suffered for our sins—the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened or made alive in the Spirit. Likewise, if the will of God be so, we in carrying the gospel to our world, the just carrying the word to the unjust, should be prepared to suffer so that we might be a party to bringing some lost soul to God.
