We are to be content in life as we live for Christ. Hebrews 13:5b & 6 says ‘and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.’ In short, God commands that we spend less time comparing ourselves to others and more time in total reliance upon him.
